I Like This - LogMeIn provides free remote Mac access from iOS devices (Darrell Etherington/GigaOM)

I use LogMeIn Free a LOT, so this is a great new addition to my productivity tools. I am not sure I would use it to control a PC much, but it would be great to see what people were doing and direct them through a task.

LogMeIn has a nice holiday gift for iOS device owners this season: a new free app called simply LogMeIn (iTunes link) that provides remote viewing access and control of Macs and PCs on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. It’s basically what the paid version LogMeIn Ignition provides, without ads or limitations.

Today Microsoft released its new email service Outlook.com to replace its Hotmail brand. This new streamlined Metro interface design looks good and functions well so far. Shared calendars are one part of an organized family

Along with the busy schedules of two working parents you might have art classes, karate classes, Little League, soccer and more. Add in more than one kid and organizing your life can quickly become a nightmare. This is exactly why one of my most important organizing devices is a shared calendar that reflects all the activities and events for everyone in the household...and I do mean everything. If someone -- is required to be somewhere -- at sometime, it goes into the calendar.
